How Adversaries Weaponize Ambiguity in Security Programs and What to do About it

As technology evolves, security programs are increasingly becoming larger and more complex. Success isn’t a given when a program grows, adds new capabilities, or receives more funding. Adversaries look to increase their effectiveness by identifying gaps that exist between functional silos, technologies, and teams where deep communication, collaboration, and adequate detection doesn’t occur.

By focusing on a broad range of assets across the digital, physical, human, and operational domains which are commonly separate programs, ambiguity is exploited to gain additional points of entry, provide lateral movement, that result in alternate paths toward their target with improved success.

This keynote will explore the creative, holistic, and collaborative mindset of the modern adversary. Building on that, how security leaders can challenge and evolve their programs to improve their defensive position against threats which occur across different functional areas of their organization.
